Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 10th that Gwanghallu Garden, adorned with mandarin ducks in winter, is attracting the attention of tourists with its beauty.

In summer, Gwanghallu Garden was a hot topic among many tourists because of the carp, and now with the arrival of winter and snowfall, the beauty of Gwanghallu and the mandarin ducks in the scenery is offering visitors to Gwanghallu Garden a special moment.

The mandarin duck, Natural Monument No. 327, is a migratory bird that visits Gwanghallu Garden every year to spend the winter and leaves in early spring. However, in recent years, they have stayed, laid eggs, and hatched chicks in Gwanghallu Garden, and now their number has grown to about a hundred, becoming a famous feature of Gwanghallu Garden along with the carp.

Mandarin ducks have long symbolized a hundred years of marital bliss and are also a modern symbol of marital harmony, making them a bird that fits well with Gwanghallu Garden, the stage of the love story between Seong Chunhyang and Lee Doryeong.
