On the 8th (local time), Samsung Electronics held a press conference at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, USA, unveiling its vision for ‘AI for All: Connectivity in the Age of AI,’ aimed at delivering smart hyper-connected experiences in daily life.
Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics, said, “The power of evolved connectivity today is driving the world,” adding, “From mobile phones to homes and cars, everything is connected, and this technology forms the foundation of a connected life along with personalized services.” He continued, “This technology enriches everything we do,” and predicted, “The connected world will only get better.”
Han also stated that AI is redefining the way we live, saying, “AI is reshaping industries beyond technology and has the power to make everyone’s life more convenient and inclusive.” He added, “Samsung Electronics has invested for over 10 years to implement AI that reorganizes industries and makes life easier,” and promised, “We will continue to strive to enable anyone to easily and safely use AI in their daily lives.”
On the same day, Jo Joo-wan, President of LG Electronics, held an ‘LG World Premiere’ press conference at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas under the theme ‘Redefining the Future of Customers.’ Jo emphasized, “AI is one of the most essential elements to elevate customer experience to a completely new paradigm,” and stressed, “Our focus is on how AI brings real change in everyday life and provides tangible benefits to customers.”

In its AI business, LG Electronics redefined AI as ‘Affectionate Intelligence’ to clarify the nature of its business and its direction. The company stated that its AI business direction is to have AI closely assist users with practical help, and it announced plans to enhance its AI competitiveness and concretize its future vision. LG expressed confidence that real-time lifestyle data from its 700 million products worldwide will be the source of its AI competitiveness and differentiation.
However, it is essential to ensure the AI business expands in the right direction. Jo said, “We understand well how to take responsibility for decisions and actions made by AI, how to ensure AI operates equally without bias or discrimination, and how to protect and control data used by AI,” explaining that AI will be managed under strict standards.
As an example of applying these changes, LG Electronics unveiled the future mobility concept ‘LG Alpha-able (αble)’ at this year’s CES, which reimagines the car as a personalized space. LG Alpha-able is a customized service that enhances the value of time spent in transit, beyond residential and commercial spaces. The name is a combination of Alpha (α) and able, meaning ‘making everything possible in the car’ and ‘providing experience value beyond expectations.’ The car can transform into a restaurant to enjoy food, a bar to enjoy coffee and wine using built-in small appliances, or a movie theater to enjoy various content on an OLED display. When you want to create your own car theater, the vehicle’s ZKW matrix headlights project onto the wall, allowing you to experience AI connectivity in everyday life.
