Hana Securities forecasted on the 9th that Cube Entertainment will continue to show record-high performance this year as well.
Lee Ki-hoon, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated in a report on the same day, "This year, (G)I-DLE is expected to make at least two comebacks, including one on the 29th," and added, "Although there are concerns about the album targeting China, the fandom in Japan is just beginning to grow, which will partially offset those concerns."
Researcher Lee also said, "In addition, concert attendance is expected to more than double, and through the music contract signed with China's Tencent in the fourth quarter of last year, high growth is anticipated again this year," and analyzed, "Furthermore, a debut of a new male idol is planned, so both performance and momentum are favorable, warranting attention."
He noted, "Last year, even though (G)I-DLE only made one comeback, album sales exceeded 1.3 million copies (previous work was 820,000), confirming a tremendous high growth and performance leverage effect," and forecasted, "Especially, while conducting an arena tour last year, the scale in Japan was notably small, but this year it is highly likely to expand to a global level."
He also mentioned, "Similar to YG, due to contract expirations of affiliated male idols or legacy IPs, there is a high dependence on a single IP, resulting in significant stock price volatility with each comeback, but a debut of a new male group is expected within the first half of the year," and concluded, "Since the performance outlook for this year is also positive, let's watch to see if the thirst for a male group beyond the single IP can be quenched."
