[Winners Club] Kirk 'Odyssey Ai One Mild Putter'

6th Career Win at Opening Match with The Sentry, Star Assistant
Protagonist of Human Drama Overcoming Depression and Alcohol Addiction
New Putter Equipped, Leading Average Putts per Round

Chris Kirk (USA) is a 'contact hitter.' Last season, his average drive distance on the PGA Tour was 296.4 yards (ranked 133rd). He survives on the American stage not with long drives but with precise iron shots and solid green play.

In 2019, he confessed to depression and alcohol addiction on his social media (SNS) and temporarily paused his activities for treatment. In February last year, he created a human drama by ending an eight-year win drought at the Honda Classic.

On the 7th (local time), Kirk secured his sixth career victory since the Honda Classic at The Sentry, the opening event of the 2024 PGA Tour season, held at the Plantation Course (par 73, 7,596 yards) in Kapalua, Hawaii. Over four days, he racked up 30 birdies and only one bogey.

Equipping a new putter before the tournament was a big help. It was the Odyssey Ai One 6T Milled CH mallet putter, a new model featuring a titanium face insert. Armed with this new weapon on the greens, Kirk recorded an average of 26.75 putts per round, ranking first among the 59 participants in this category.
