"I Graduated High School, Not Dankook University... Never Attended College," Kang Hyung-wook Clarifies Education Misunderstanding

"Job is 'Companion Dog Trainer'"
"Sometimes Upset by Comments Like 'You Make a Lot of Money'"

Dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook personally corrected the misinformation about his academic background posted on an online site.

On the 6th, Kang Hyung-wook read his profile himself on his YouTube channel 'Kang Hyung-wook's Bodeum TV' and corrected the errors. He said, "It is true that I am Kang from Jinju. The occupation is listed as 'animal trainer,' but since I am a dog trainer, I cannot train other animals."

Regarding the university education listed as 'Animal Resources, College of Biotechnology, Dankook University,' he said, "Did I graduate from Dankook University? I have never been to college. I am a high school graduate." He also mentioned Ewha Womans University as a university he would like to attend in the future. He added, "Professor Choi Jae-chun is at Ewha Womans University. Professor Choi is a world-renowned scholar on animal behavior in Korea," and "There are quite a few men at Ewha Womans University."

Kang Hyung-wook also responded to criticism that the prices of the training programs he runs are quite high, saying, "It is a bit upsetting that articles say our training programs are expensive. There are many misunderstandings, and people think I am making a lot of money. But if business people see it, they might wonder 'Why is Kang Hyung-wook running it like this?' We do not operate kindergartens or hotels; we do nothing like that," he explained.

He continued, "If you do both boarding (kindergarten, hotel) and training, they conflict," and expressed, "I was so focused on pride that I didn't pay attention to making money, so every time I hear 'he makes a lot of money' or 'it's expensive,' I feel very upset."

Meanwhile, Kang Hyung-wook gained popularity as a dog trainer by appearing on KBS 2TV's 'Dogs Are Incredible' and EBS 1TV's 'There Are No Bad Dogs in the World,' and recently has been called the so-called 'Gaetongryeong' (Dog President).
