Tomorrow Colder Than Average... Subzero Temperatures Expected in Central Region Even During Daytime

There is a Possibility of Strong Wind Warnings Being Issued on the East Coast of Gyeongbuk

Sunday, the 7th, is expected to be mostly clear nationwide, but temperatures will be colder than average from daytime.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 6th, light rain or snow may occasionally fall from dawn to morning on the 7th in the western part of Jeonnam and Jeju Island.


The expected snowfall between the 6th and 7th is 1-5 cm in Incheon and southern Gyeonggi, and 1-3 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island.


The nationwide morning low temperatures are forecasted to range from -8°C to 1°C, and daytime highs from -4°C to 5°C.


Daytime temperatures will drop below freezing mainly in the central regions, and strong winds will make the wind chill feel even colder.


On the east coast of Gyeongbuk, very strong winds are expected from the morning, with a possibility of a strong wind advisory being issued. There may also be gusts accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas.


Sea waves will be 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea coastal waters.


In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the South Sea.
