Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) held the ‘2024 New Year Greeting Meeting’ on the 5th at 3 p.m. at the Gwanak Art Hall to welcome a hopeful new year together with its residents.
The event was attended by about 1,500 people, including Mayor Park Junhee, members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, and residents, adding brilliance to the occasion. On this day, Mayor Park Junhee delivered New Year greetings and a message of hope to the residents and shared the future direction and blueprint of district administration.
In particular, Mayor Park, along with six employee representatives, went on stage to conduct a traditional New Year’s bowing event (sebae) with the residents, demonstrating the district’s strong commitment to serving the residents with utmost effort in 2024 as well.
In his New Year’s address, Mayor Park Junhee expressed his ambition to create a ▲“Greater and Stronger Economy: Innovative Economic City,” ▲“Warm and Inclusive City” through enhanced welfare services and facility expansion, ▲“Reliable and Safe City” free from crime and disasters, ▲“Leading Education and Cultural City” that is young and vibrant, and ▲“Clean and Pleasant Living Environment Gwanak.” He stated, “In 2024, we will definitely produce tangible results that residents can feel and will run even harder with the residents of Gwanak-gu without losing our original intention to make Gwanak happier and a better place to live.”
