Son Byeong-bok, the governor of Uljin County, joined the ‘2024 No. 1 Fruit of Love Sharing Leader’ on the 4th.
The Fruit of Love Sharing Leader is a fundraising program by the Community Chest of Korea where individuals donate 1 million KRW or more either as a lump sum or by pledge within a year. This program aims to honor donors who lead the culture of sharing in their local communities.
Governor Son Byeong-bok joined as an individual donor by donating 2 million KRW in a lump sum. The donated funds will be used for welfare blind spots and vulnerable residents through the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Chest.
Jung Dong-ui, the secretary-general of the Gyeongbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, who attended the Sharing Leader certification plaque ceremony, said, “We are grateful that Governor Son Byeong-bok, a local leader, set an example by joining the Sharing Leader program. We hope that the No. 2 and No. 3 Sharing Leaders will continue to follow.”
Governor Son said, “I hope many people will join the Sharing Leader program so that the culture of sharing in our region spreads widely, and the positive influence grows deeply, rooting a citizen consciousness that cares for neighbors.”
The ‘Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign’ continues until January 31, and donations and Sharing Leader registrations can be made through the county office or the Hope Welfare Teams in each eup and myeon.
