Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 4th that it will promote the '2024 Retiree Small-scale Greenhouse Support Project,' which supports multipurpose small-scale vinyl greenhouses and auxiliary facilities necessary for agricultural management.
The project was initiated to provide workspaces and income-generating opportunities for retirees and returnees to farming and rural areas.
Applicants must ▲ have had a residence in Hwasun County for more than one year as of the application date and be living there ▲ be individuals who have switched to agriculture after retiring from other occupations or those wishing to switch within one year ▲ be returnees to farming or rural areas who have lived in urban areas for more than one year and have not exceeded five years since moving in (after January 1, 2019).
Support will be provided for disaster-resilient vinyl greenhouses ranging from 330㎡ to 660㎡ at a rate of 25,000 to 30,000 KRW per square meter, along with additional facilities such as ventilation systems, wells, and irrigation facilities.
If applicants wish to construct greenhouses outside the standard specifications according to the desired crop, support rates will be adjusted after prior review.
Additional facilities such as ventilation systems will have their unit prices calculated based on actual estimates, with a support ratio of 70% subsidy and 30% self-payment.
Those wishing to apply should submit an application form to the Industry Team at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center where the greenhouse will be installed by the 31st.
