Free Operation of Snow Sledding Park at Jungnangcheon Outdoor Swimming Pool Site from Feb 8 to 12... Various Activities Including Igloo Experience and Ice Fishing... Closed on Thursdays for Facility Maintenance
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will operate the "Dongdaemun-gu Jungnangcheon Snow Sledding Park" from the 8th at the Jungnangcheon outdoor swimming pool site (19-6 Jangan-dong) area.
The Jungnangcheon Snow Sledding Park will be open from the 8th until February 12th, coinciding with children's winter vacation, and will be closed every Thursday for facility maintenance and hygiene and safety inspections. It may also close during severe cold waves or adverse weather conditions to prevent safety accidents.
The snow sledding park covers approximately 4,000㎡ and can accommodate up to about 800 people, operating one large and one small sledding slope. Additionally, it offers various attractions such as an igloo experience, ice fishing, play facilities, and photo zones, and plans to set up a rest area including a concession stand inside a large tent that can accommodate around 200 people.
Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 30-minute break after every 2 hours of operation to prevent accidents caused by crowding and to conduct safety inspections.
Anyone can freely enter for free, and sledding equipment necessary for using the snow sledding park is available for free rental. Since there is no parking lot at the Jungnangcheon site where the snow sledding park is installed, the use of public transportation is recommended. For other matters related to the operation of the snow sledding park, please contact the Dongdaemun-gu Sports Promotion Division.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu stated, "I hope children on winter vacation will create joyful memories with their families at the Jungnangcheon Snow Sledding Park, and we will prioritize safety to provide abundant winter recreational activities."
