Jeep Launches Wrangler Facelift After 6 Years... Prices Start at 69.7 Million KRW

Jeep, a brand under Stellantis, has launched a facelifted model of the off-road sport utility vehicle (SUV) Wrangler in Korea for the first time in six years.

On the 3rd, Stellantis Korea held a press conference at its exclusive showroom in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and introduced 'The New 2024 Wrangler.'

The newly launched Wrangler is a facelifted version of the 5th generation, originally released in 2017. Known as the "icon of off-road," it has sold over 5 million units worldwide since the first generation debuted in 1986. The Jeep signature 'seven-slot grille' is emphasized, and convenience features have been improved, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen and TMAP navigation system.

The Wrangler is equipped with a 2.0ℓ gasoline turbo engine delivering a maximum output of 272 horsepower and a peak torque of 40.8 kg·m. It features an 8-speed automatic transmission and low-range gears, enabling smooth driving not only in daily use but also in off-road conditions.

The exterior design inherits the 'off-road DNA' accumulated over 37 years since the first generation was launched in 1986. The design direction harmonizes tradition and the future.

The front features the seven-slot grille and LED headlamps. For the first time, a 'windshield-integrated stealth antenna' replaces the traditional steel antenna. This antenna not only gives the exterior a neat appearance but also protects the vehicle body from obstacles such as branches when driving in rough environments.

This facelifted Wrangler is equipped with the largest 12.3-inch touchscreen ever applied in a Wrangler. It features the 'Uconnect' system, which is five times faster than the previous generation, and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes TMAP navigation, preferred by Korean consumers.

Jeep has applied more than 65 driving safety and convenience features for safe driving in the new Wrangler. Safety features have been significantly enhanced, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go function, full-speed forward collision warning plus system, and advanced brake assist system.

Jeep sells the new facelifted Wrangler in three trims: Sport S, Rubicon, and Sahara. Prices are 69.7 million KRW for Sport S ▲ Sahara 4-door hardtop at 78.9 million KRW, power top at 82.4 million KRW ▲ Rubicon 2-door hardtop at 76.4 million KRW ▲ Rubicon 4-door hardtop at 80.4 million KRW, power top at 83.9 million KRW.
