Suwon City Launches 'Child Abuse Prevention Campaign' for Citizens Registering Births A mother is visiting the Dong Administrative Welfare Center to register the birth of her child.

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is launching a child abuse prevention campaign targeting newborn registrants.


On the 3rd, Suwon City announced that it will visit 44 administrative welfare centers in the district to distribute promotional items (newborn handkerchiefs) and positive parenting materials to citizens registering births, as part of the 'First Step to Positive Parenting' initiative.


The positive parenting materials include phrases such as ▲ respecting children as independent individuals ▲ communicating and understanding between parents and children ▲ trusting each other.


A Suwon city official stated, "In this era of low birth rates, we aim to create a child-friendly social atmosphere that celebrates and welcomes the birth of precious children," adding, "We hope to foster an environment where children are respected as independent individuals and both children and parents can experience happy parenting."
