Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, "The Ultimate Goal of District Administration is to Improve Residents' Quality of Life"

Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, stated on the 2nd, "The ultimate goal of all policies is to improve the lives of residents and stabilize their livelihoods," adding, "This year is an important year marking the practical beginning of the 8th term of the elected government, so we will focus all our capabilities to accelerate the promotion of key projects."

Mayor Jin made these remarks during the '2024 Opening Ceremony' held at the Gangseo Community Center at 3 p.m. on the same day, delivering a New Year's address outlining the direction of district administration aimed at greater growth and a new future for Gangseo District.

He said, "Despite the challenging domestic and international environment due to the ongoing economic downturn this year, we will lead the district administration with balance by focusing solely on the residents and implementing policies for them."

He continued, "To realize the five major district administration goals?balanced development, safety and security, future economy, welfare and health, and education and culture?all staff must actively break down barriers between departments and promote administration for the residents."

Mayor Jin emphasized, "We will meticulously manage detailed tasks to achieve district goals, such as balanced development through the redevelopment of the original downtown area, promotion of development on the CJ factory site in Gayang-dong, creation of safe return routes for women and secure school routes, creation of quality jobs, elimination of welfare blind spots, and expansion of cultural enjoyment opportunities."
