Sewol Ferry Disaster 10th Anniversary Memorial Art Exhibition to be Held Sewol Ferry Disaster 10th Anniversary Memorial Art Exhibition

A 'Memorial Art Exhibition' will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster.

The 4·16 Democratic Civic Education Center announced on the 2nd that it will hold an exhibition titled ‘I will always yellow you’ on the first floor of the Future Hope Hall at the Ansan Education Center until the 16th of next month.

This exhibition features 30 works by artist Shin Joo-wook, painted with acrylic on wood and cotton canvas. The pieces project the victims, students of Danwon High School, onto the color ‘yellow’ as a message to remember and never forget them.

The exhibition is open for viewing on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding weekends and public holidays.

Jeon Myung-sun, director of the 4·16 Democratic Civic Education Center, said, "In line with the 2024 transition to a life safety education-centered system, we held the exhibition utilizing the local network," adding, "We will strive to promote various exhibitions that remember the students who lost their lives in the disaster and carry hope."
