"Need Hangover Relief"... Jeonggwanjang 'Hongsamkkul' Sold Out at Convenience Stores

‘Hongsamkkul,’ a product launched through a collaboration between Jeonggwanjang and GS25, is experiencing a shortage due to year-end gatherings and the cold wave.


According to industry sources on the 29th, Hongsamkkul, exclusively available at GS25 stores, sold out its first production batch within a week after its release at the end of September. Sales have more than doubled this month, leading to another sellout.


Hongsamkkul is made by steeping 6-year-old Jeonggwanjang red ginseng in domestically sourced honey for 68 hours.

The company analyzed that the increase in consumers seeking hangover relief and warm beverages in December, a month filled with year-end gatherings and drinking occasions, has driven the demand for the product.


Jeonggwanjang also introduced ‘Jinsaeng MilkT:,’ a product that combines smooth and sweet milk with 6-year-old Jeonggwanjang red ginseng, allowing consumers to enjoy the rich flavor of milk and the deep taste of ginseng simultaneously.


A Jeonggwanjang representative said, “Hongsamkkul and Jinsaeng MilkT: are beverages that offer health benefits in a light drink,” adding, “We will continue to lead the health beverage market by meeting diverse consumer needs.”
