Board of Audit and Inspection Rejects Public Audit Request Targeting Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju

According to Gwangsan-gu on the 28th, the Board of Audit and Inspection recently dismissed or rejected three public interest audit requests made by the Saerogochim union against Gwangsan-gu and others.

The union claimed that Gwangsan-gu abused its audit authority and imposed unfair disciplinary actions on a specific employee, and had filed for a public interest audit.

It was reported that no illegal or unfair points were found in the special audit of the corporation by Gwangsan-gu and the subsequent follow-up measures, leading to the case being closed.

A district official stated, “We hope that with this decision by the Board of Audit and Inspection, unnecessary misunderstandings and controversies related to the corporation will no longer be repeated.”

He added, “We will actively support the corporation, which is making self-driven efforts for normalization and innovation together with the new chairman, so that it can quickly become a public enterprise loved by citizens.”
