Sancheong-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution for Public Officials' Welfare and Benefits Program

The Only County-Level Local Government Nationwide

Operating Rest Spaces and Healing Programs

Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, was the only county-level local government nationwide to be selected as an excellent institution for civil servant welfare projects.


On the 28th, the county announced that it had been selected as an excellent institution in the ‘Civil Servant Welfare Project Best Practice Contest.’


Hosted by the Ministry of Personnel Management, this contest was organized to share and spread excellent welfare project cases, promote the overall elevation of government-wide welfare standards, and strengthen support to enhance civil servant vitality.

The cases of institutions selected as excellent will be used as basic data when establishing the basic and implementation plans for civil servant welfare.


As a result of the contest, the county was highly evaluated in creativity, effectiveness, ripple effect, and difficulty, and was selected as an excellent institution.


In particular, the county had the honor of being the only county-level local government selected among nationwide excellent institutions (Seoul Songpa-gu, Korean Intellectual Property Office, Ansan-si in Gyeonggi, National Tax Service).


The county has contributed to improving employee welfare and morale by promoting initiatives such as ▲ civil servant apartment rental ‘Civil Servant Housing Stability YES!! Regional Economy Revitalization YES!!’, ▲ ‘Employee Genuine Rest Healing Space’ utilizing idle spaces within government offices, ▲ ‘County-Operated Recreation Facilities’ as spaces for civil servant rest and harmony, ▲ civil servant healing program ‘A Brief Gift of Rest for Myself’, and ▲ welfare policies that resonate with the MZ generation such as ‘Expansion of Long-Term Service Leave’.


A county official said, “When rest and recharging bring vitality to employees’ lives and a lively workplace culture is created, the quality of public services will also improve,” adding, “We will continue to create conditions for employees to work healthily and energetically, thereby increasing administrative productivity and leading to the happiness of county residents.”
