Operating until 1 PM on December 31... Testing available at general medical institutions thereafter... PCR tests available at 21 district-designated medical institutions... Free support for oral treatment target groups, those aged 60 and over, and high-risk hospitalized patients
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) announced the termination of the operation of the COVID-19 screening clinics.
Following the government's reorganization of the COVID-19 response system, PCR testing conducted at the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center and medical institution screening clinics will be discontinued as of 1 PM on December 31. Instead, PCR testing will be available at 21 designated medical institutions within the district at the individual's expense.
Support for high-risk groups will continue. ▲ Individuals aged 12 and older with underlying conditions or immunocompromised who are eligible for oral treatment ▲ Persons aged 60 and above ▲ Patients admitted to emergency rooms or intensive care units ▲ High-risk hospitalized patients ▲ Residents of nursing hospitals, psychiatric medical institutions, and care facilities can receive free PCR testing at designated general medical institutions.
The district plans to strengthen support for healthy living in daily life and promote residents' health through this management system transition, and will maintain the COVID-19 crisis level at 'caution' until stabilization, considering the winter respiratory infectious disease season.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank the medical staff, employees, and residents who have worked hard to prevent the spread of infectious diseases during the long battle against COVID-19.” He also urged, “Please take special care against winter respiratory illnesses and maintain handwashing and personal hygiene practices to stay healthy.”
