Gangdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Su-hee) announced on the 22nd that it signed a friendship agreement with Uiseong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do (County Governor Kim Ju-soo) on the 21st to promote the development and friendship between the two cities.


At the signing ceremony, the two cities agreed to establish an active exchange and cooperation system across various sectors of the local community, including administration, economy, culture, sports, and tourism, and to actively share necessary policies and information to promote substantial exchanges among local residents and private organizations.


Since September, the two cities have been continuously discussing mutual cooperation between urban and rural areas, focusing on culture and tourism, and at the ceremony, they decided to focus on mutual cooperation and seek development plans in these fields.


Mayor Lee Su-hee said, “I hope this friendship agreement will lead to active exchanges and mutual development in various fields,” and added, “We will continue to maintain a strong cooperative relationship and work together for mutual growth.”


The signing ceremony held at Gangdong-gu Office was attended by Mayor Lee Su-hee, County Governor Kim Ju-soo, chairpersons of the two city councils, and notable figures from Uiseong.
