The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Fire Safety Headquarters (Chief Kim Suhwan) announced on the 21st that it held the '2023 Rescue and Emergency Medical Services Policy Council' to develop policies related to rescue and emergency medical services and to discuss budget execution plans.
This council was organized with the main goal of 'protecting the lives of residents and creating a safe Jeju' to discuss various rescue and emergency medical service policies and to listen to the opinions of experts in related fields.

The members appointed include Chief Kim Suhwan of the Fire Safety Headquarters, Kim Haengbeom, Disaster Management Manager of Korea Electric Power Corporation Jeju Headquarters, Ko Jaemoon, Professor of Emergency Medical Services at Halla University, and 13 other experts.
At the meeting, they reviewed the major achievements of the 2023 rescue and emergency medical services policies and deliberated and approved the key tasks and budget execution plans for 2024.
Chief Kim Suhwan stated, "As the occurrence of new types of social disasters and extreme weather changes threaten the predictability of disasters, more meticulous policies are needed. We will gather diverse opinions to prepare systematic measures suitable for the rapidly changing disaster environment and devote all efforts to protecting the safety of residents."
