Gyeonggi-do Launches 'Social Economy Education Online Content' for Youth Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province has newly launched online social economy education content for youth on the Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Portal (GSEEK).


This content was designed to help young people enhance their awareness of sustainable economic activities and social values, covering everything from the basic concepts of the social economy to real business cases.


To participate in the online education, visit the Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Portal website and register for the course. Viewing is possible without signing up, but a certificate of completion is issued when learning is done after membership registration.


The online course, led by comedian Onami and social economy expert Jeonghwan Son, consists of a total of 5 sessions, approximately 1 hour of video lectures.


The main lecture topics include ▲What is the social economy? ▲How is the social economy created? ▲Understanding social impact ▲Understanding school cooperatives ▲Exploring changemakers.


Participants can also learn from vivid cases such as Donggubat, a social venture company addressing independence issues for people with developmental disabilities, and More Than, an eco-friendly social enterprise operating an upcycling brand.


Seok Jonghun, Director of the Social Economy Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will actively support youth to open the door to knowledge, realize the value of the social economy, and develop the ability to practice it in the real world."
