Sharing 'Love Side Dishes' with Gangnam-gu Saemaeul Women's Association

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) held a "Sharing Love Side Dishes" event on the 20th at the 3rd floor of the Saemaul Movement Gangnam-gu Branch, together with the Gangnam-gu Saemaul Women's Association.

The Gangnam-gu Saemaul Women's Association packaged six types of side dishes in the morning of the same day, including rice cake soup rice cakes, beef bone soup, jangjorim (soy-braised beef), stir-fried anchovies, braised soybeans, and traditional seaweed.

At the delivery ceremony held at 1:30 PM that day, about 20 participants including the president of the Gangnam-gu Saemaul Women's Association and presidents of each neighborhood women's association delivered the packaged side dishes to 200 vulnerable households, including elderly living alone.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, "I hope the heartfelt side dishes delivered to our marginalized neighbors will help them have a warm winter," and added, "Next year, we will continue sharing activities practicing neighborly love together with the Gangnam-gu Saemaul Women's Association."
