On the 18th, Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Lee Pil-hyung visited the employees working extended hours every Tuesday at the district office's General Civil Service Office to encourage their hard work and have a time of communication for providing better civil services to residents.
The district operates the General Civil Service Office with extended hours every Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM for residents who find it difficult to visit during regular weekday hours due to busy schedules such as work.
Services available during the extended hours include ▲issuance of civil documents such as resident registration certificates and seals ▲marriage registration ▲passport application and issuance, allowing many residents to conveniently use the night civil service office.
Mayor Lee, who visited the office at 6 PM that day, personally handed incentives to all employees working the night shift, saying, “I am very proud of our staff who quietly operate the night civil service office for residents even after regular working hours,” and did not hesitate to encourage the employees who do their best for the residents.
He also listened to various difficulties experienced by employees during civil service work, including night shifts, and continued a time of communication exchanging opinions for improving civil services.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu said, “Although non-face-to-face services have expanded in various parts of society since COVID-19, most civil service tasks still require our employees. I hope they will continue to do their best to create a civil service office that satisfies many residents.”
