On the 19th (local time), the American business magazine Forbes reported that the top three billionaires who gained the most wealth in 2023 are Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, and Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.

Musk's net worth increased by $108.4 billion (approximately 140.8 trillion won) this year alone. Forbes estimated his total wealth, already holding the title of the world's richest person, at $254.9 billion (approximately 331.1 trillion won).

The main factor influencing Musk's asset size is Tesla's stock price. Tesla's stock price more than doubled compared to the end of last year as it began supplying the electric pickup truck 'Cybertruck,' and SpaceX also increased its corporate value to $180 billion (approximately 233.7 trillion won) by successfully launching rockets over 90 times. Consequently, Musk's wealth grew significantly.

Mark Zuckerberg ranked second, adding $74.8 billion (approximately 97.1 trillion won) to his assets this year. Although he reportedly had a challenging year due to Meta's revenue decline and large-scale layoffs in the fourth quarter, Meta's stock price rose 178% through the 15th of this year, placing him second. His total net worth is $118.6 billion (approximately 153.9 trillion won).

Jeff Bezos ranked third, with Amazon's stock price rising 79% this year, increasing his net worth by $65 billion (approximately 84.4 trillion won). This brought his total wealth to $172.3 billion (approximately 223.6 trillion won).

Fourth place went to Indonesia's 'energy tycoon' Prajogo Pangestu. This year, his wealth increased by $47.9 billion (approximately 62.2 trillion won) as he listed the geothermal energy company Barito Renewable Energy and the coal mining company Petrindo Jaya Kreasi. His net worth stands at $52.8 billion (approximately 68.5 trillion won).

Fifth place was Alphabet (Google's parent company) co-founder Larry Page, who increased his assets by $34.4 billion (approximately 44.7 trillion won) this year as Alphabet's stock price rose 50% amid expectations for 'Gemini AI.' Page's total net worth is $111.7 billion (approximately 145 trillion won).

Following them, sixth place was Amancio Ortega, founder of the fashion brand Zara from Spain; seventh was Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google; eighth was former Microsoft (MS) CEO Steve Ballmer; ninth was Oracle founder Larry Ellison; and tenth was Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
