Nakdonggang River Basin Environmental Office Collects Illegal Wildlife Traps

On the 20th, the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office, along with related organizations such as Sancheong-gun, Jirisan National Park Gyeongnam Office, and the Wildlife Management Association, collected illegal hunting traps such as snares, traps, and spring traps installed illegally in the mountains of Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam.

The collection of illegal hunting traps aims to prevent damage to wildlife and further protect their habitats. The Nakdong River Office conducted this operation four times this winter and plans to carry it out five more times.

Director Choi Jong-won stated, “We will continue to promote wildlife protection activities such as the collection of illegal hunting traps,” and added, “Since illegal traps are installed in remote locations, active cooperation from local residents who are familiar with the area is especially necessary.”
