On the 20th, Donation Delivered to Community Chest of Korea
POSCO Group Companies Contribute to Support for Vulnerable Groups
POSCO Group (Chairman Choi Jeong-woo) donated 10 billion KRW in year-end neighbor-helping funds to the Community Chest of Korea.
Since 1999, the total amount of donations delivered by POSCO Group over 25 years has reached 192 billion KRW.
On the 20th, POSCO Group held a year-end neighbor-helping fund delivery ceremony at the Community Chest of Korea building in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The ceremony was attended by Kim Byung-joon, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, and Yang Won-jun, Head of Communications Team at POSCO Holdings, among others.
Since 1999, POSCO Group has donated neighbor-helping funds to the Community Chest of Korea every year. This year, a total of eight group companies participated, including ▲POSCO ▲POSCO International ▲POSCO E&C ▲POSCO Future M ▲POSCO DX ▲POSCO Flow ▲POSCO Steelion ▲POSCO M-TEC.
The funds delivered to the Community Chest of Korea will be widely used to support socially vulnerable groups such as future generations, people with disabilities, and multicultural families, as well as for joint contribution activities where various business companies within the group collaborate with non-profit organizations to help solve social issues.
Meanwhile, POSCO Group has been running the year-end small sharing campaign ‘My Little Charity’ for four weeks starting November 8, and on the 15th, donated approximately 916 million KRW to 150 projects including future generation growth and education programs and remodeling of welfare facilities for the elderly.
My Little Charity is a program where employees directly select some of the annual fundraising destinations of the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation.
In addition, POSCO Group is extending warm hands to vulnerable groups at year-end through donations of over 2,700 winter clothing items and volunteer activities such as delivering briquettes by employees.
