Muan-gun Selected as 'Best Institution' for Education and Training Operations

Customized Training by Position and New Employee Orientation for Enhancing Public Officials' Innovation Capabilities

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) was selected as the best institution in the ‘2023 Education and Training Work Excellence City/County Evaluation’ hosted by Jeollanam-do and received the Governor’s Commendation.

According to the county on the 20th, the achievement of being selected as the best institution was made through the results of promoting various work education aimed at strengthening the capabilities of public officials to respond to rapidly changing administrative demands.

In this year’s evaluation, the county scored 98.50 out of 100 points in all areas compared to other cities and counties, including △number of graduates compared to the education selection plan △number of new employee education completions within one year of employment △participation in the Great Leap Jeonnam Core Talent Development Education △participation in on-the-job application evaluation.

The county established and promoted an education and training plan including competency enhancement education by rank for all public officials, kindness and integrity education, and introductory public service courses for new appointees to foster desirable public service values, creativity, job expertise, and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, the newly introduced after-work education program ‘Muan Byeolbit Forum’ invited lecturers from Jeollanam-do affiliated organizations to mutually study work and improve job skills through topics related to key projects, receiving great response.

Governor Kim San stated, “We plan to continuously promote public official competency enhancement education to grow skilled public officials equipped with professional knowledge and work expertise that meet the rapidly changing administrative demands and the expectations of 90,000 residents, while also becoming public service talents with humanistic sensibility.”
