Acting Director Yoon Jae-ok Completes Gathering Opinions from Emergency Committee
Personnel Appointments Expected to Be Finalized by This Weekend

Yoon Jae-ok, the acting leader and floor leader of the People Power Party, said on the 20th that the decision on the Emergency Response Committee Chairperson would be made "within a short period of time" after the budget bill is processed.

On the same day, Acting Leader Yoon held a standing advisory group meeting at a restaurant in Yeouido, Seoul, to gather opinions on the new leadership system. He said, "I heard various opinions (from the advisory group)" and added, "We have been collecting opinions sequentially, and today is practically the conclusion. We will carefully consider and deliberate before making a decision."

Acting Leader Yoon has been collecting opinions on the party's new leadership system through meetings such as the party members' general assembly and joint meetings of lawmakers and party district committee chairpersons. Regarding public opinion polls, he said, "We do not consider them."

The process of nominating the Emergency Response Committee Chairperson is expected to accelerate after the budget bill is passed on the 21st. Regarding the timing of the decision on the chairperson, Acting Leader Yoon said, "We will decide within a short time after the budget bill passes in the plenary session." Accordingly, it is highly likely that the People Power Party's Emergency Response Committee Chairperson appointment will be finalized by the end of this weekend.

Shin Young-kyun, honorary chairman of the standing advisory group, said before the meeting officially began, "The general election is only 3 to 4 months away, which is a very important period," and added, "Based on long political experience, the standing advisors should provide good advice so that our party can definitely win this general election."

Attending the meeting were honorary advisors including Shin Young-kyun, Hwang Woo-yeo, Moon Hee, Choi Byung-guk, Shin Kyung-sik, Mok Yo-sang, Kim Jong-ha, Kim Dong-wook, Kim Yong-gap, Lee Yoon-sung, Na Oh-yeon, Yoo Heung-soo, Yoo Joon-sang, and Kwon Cheol-hyun.
