to Increase Employee Satisfaction

BNK Gyeongnam Bank has achieved a valuable result by being awarded the Prime Minister's Commendation for exemplary family-friendly management.


BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 20th that it was selected as a recipient of the 'Prime Minister's Commendation' at the '2023 Family-Friendly Certification and Government Awards Ceremony' hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

Selected as a recipient of the Prime Minister's Commendation, BNK Gyeongnam Bank was recognized for its efforts to promote a culture that balances work and family life.


Since its first certification as a family-friendly company in 2016, the bank has maintained the certification for eight consecutive years and has operated family-friendly systems, proactively introducing measures that exceed legal standards.


In particular, it has established childbearing and childcare support systems such as ▲reduced working hours during pregnancy ▲expanded eligibility for parental leave ▲operation of an in-house daycare center ▲support for family health checkups, thereby increasing satisfaction among employees and their families.


Additionally, the bank has implemented a PC OFF policy after working hours, restricting PC use after 6 p.m., and has worked to improve excessive workloads through digitalization, centralization of headquarters, and the introduction of RPA, contributing to organizational culture innovation for work-life balance.


Other newly introduced or improved regulations since receiving family-friendly certification include ▲increased congratulatory support funds for childbirth ▲establishment of incentives for Family Month ▲introduction of fetal examination leave during pregnancy ▲and establishment of family care leave.


President Ye Kyung-tak stated, “BNK Gyeongnam Bank is committed to practicing sound management and family-friendly management. For sound management, employees must be the foundation, so we have considered what more we can provide to our employees and have worked to improve their satisfaction. We believe that when employees are satisfied, we can provide greater value to the local community and customers.”


He added, “Going forward, BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to continue improving work culture and promoting work-family balance. Furthermore, we will actively practice win-win finance to fulfill our social responsibilities and role as a leading regional financial institution.”


Meanwhile, Executive Director Heo Jong-gu of BNK Gyeongnam Bank’s Management Support Headquarters received the 'Prime Minister's Commendation' at the '2023 Family-Friendly Certification and Government Awards Ceremony' held on the 19th at HW Convention in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
