Gyeonggi Office of Education Announces Next Year's Basic Education Plan... 'Future Education and Competency Enhancement' Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced its basic education plan for next year on the 20th, focusing on future education and capacity building.


The five major policy directions announced by the Office of Education are ▲Education that opens the future ▲Education that cultivates capabilities ▲Education where the educational community grows together ▲Education that ensures everyone's safety ▲School-centered administrative support.


The Office of Education will operate the Gyeonggi future education curriculum next year and actively promote Gyeonggi Shared Schools in 31 cities and counties. It will also expand and allocate regional autonomous budgets to realize student-tailored education.


By utilizing edutech and other means, it will operate a future-oriented curriculum, strengthen teachers' professionalism, and work to enhance students' capabilities. Additionally, it will expand the public responsibility of education to protect the health and safety of school members, and establish a future-oriented educational administration system to improve school work efficiency concurrently.


In particular, it will strengthen character education within schools, support the educational community to grow together, and implement school-centered administration through communication and participation.


The Office of Education will promote 14 major tasks, 36 detailed tasks, and 90 practical tasks centered on these five major policy agendas.


An official from the Office of Education stated, "Next year, we will enhance schools' autonomous capabilities to expand the autonomy of members and strengthen regional educational cooperation," adding, "We will do our best to help students grow into future talents equipped with basic character and foundational capabilities."
