Literacy Instructor Trainer, Village Education Coordinator, and More
On the 19th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it held a meeting with about 40 lifelong learning activists, including participants in the literacy education instructor training course, at the Baekdudaegan Ecological Education Center.
The event was organized to share the achievements of the lifelong learning activists trained through Gurye-gun's lifelong learning city project over the past year and to discuss the lifelong learning projects to be promoted in 2024.
The meeting was presided over by County Governor Kim Soon-ho, during which lifelong learning activists shared their impressions from the field, and various opinions were presented, including the operation of spring and fall semesters considering the farming season, the operation and expansion of literacy classes, and the revitalization of lifelong learning with village school students.
Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “Thanks to the active efforts of lifelong learning activists, the foundation of lifelong learning in Gurye-gun has been solidified. Based on this, we have been able to promote universal lifelong education accessible to everyone, such as visiting literacy classes, lifelong learning village schools, and club activities. We will continue to create happy residential conditions and improve residents' quality of life through the revitalization of lifelong learning.”
Gurye-gun plans to fully consider the proposals made at the meeting and apply for next year's public projects promoted by the National Institute for Lifelong Education and the Jeonnam Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.
