The bowling alley, covering an area of 943.41㎡, was constructed in the Jindo Public Sports Complex area with a total investment of 3.5 billion KRW, including 1.1 billion KRW in national funds and 2.4 billion KRW in county funds. Construction began in December last year and was completed in August this year.
Additionally, a total of 10 lanes were installed along with convenience facilities such as a lounge and locker rooms, aiming to meet the diverse sports and cultural needs of local residents and contribute to the revitalization of community sports.
Last month, Jindo County Sports Association signed a consignment agreement and, after about a one-month pilot operation period, an average of about 100 residents use the bowling alley daily, with a total of approximately 2,800 residents having used it so far.
Governor Kim Hee-su said, “I sincerely congratulate the establishment of the bowling alley, which has been a long-cherished wish of Jindo residents,” and added, “I hope the active use of the bowling alley will greatly contribute to the health promotion of the residents.”
