GS Caltex Conducts Heating Oil Sharing Volunteer Activity in Guryong Village

GS Caltex conducted a heating oil sharing volunteer activity for energy-vulnerable groups to mark the end of the year.

On the 19th, GS Caltex announced on the 20th that CEO Heo Se-hong and employees visited Guryong Village in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, delivering heating oil to elderly people living alone and households with limited mobility, supporting neighbors struggling with the cold to have a warm winter.

Since 2005, GS Caltex has been carrying out a "year-end relay volunteer activity" for marginalized neighbors, including heating oil sharing volunteer work, kimchi sharing, and support for heating supplies and daily necessities, for 19 years. This year, about 250 employees from the Seoul headquarters, Yeosu plant, Daejeon research institute, Chungnam and Busan branches, and Incheon and Jeju logistics centers are participating in volunteer activities to practice warm energy sharing.

CEO Heo said, "I hope this will be of some help to neighbors facing economic difficulties due to high inflation," adding, "We will continue to expand social contribution activities for energy-vulnerable groups in our society as well as energy-saving and efficiency improvement projects."
