Suwon City Provides 592,000 Won Heating Subsidy for Vulnerable Groups Suwon City Hall

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will provide heating cost support of up to 592,000 KRW per household to vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients.

On the 19th, Suwon City announced that it will support heating costs of up to 592,000 KRW for households receiving basic livelihood security and near-poverty groups who primarily use kerosene or LPG boilers as their main heating source.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the local administrative welfare center in the resident registration area by January 19 of next year. If mobility is difficult, proxy applications are allowed or inquiries can be made at the local administrative welfare center. Households that received the energy voucher for the 2023 winter season will be paid the difference.

Households that have already received kerosene vouchers, briquette coupons, emergency welfare support, or whose entire household members receive benefits at care facilities are not eligible to apply.

The supported heating costs can be used for on-site card purchases or delivery order payments at kerosene and LPG sales outlets from January 10 to June 30 of next year.

Partial payments are allowed within the support limit, but remaining balances cannot be received in cash. Additionally, the funds cannot be used to purchase multipurpose fuels or gas such as vehicle fuel for heating purposes.
