'Luxury appraisers' are a profession with increasing demand in the recently spotlighted secondhand luxury market. The Global Future Education Center signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with LuxAgain Co., Ltd. at the end of August, marking the official launch of this course. According to research by Research & Market, the global secondhand luxury market, which was approximately 39 trillion KRW in 2021, is expected to grow to about 56 trillion KRW by 2025. In South Korea, the secondhand market grew from 4 trillion KRW in 2008 to 20 trillion KRW in 2020. The secondhand luxury market is expected to have effects beyond economic value recreation, including environmental preservation and job creation.

A luxury appraiser is a professional who distinguishes between genuine and counterfeit products. The distinction between authentic and fake items exerts significant influence over market trends. The emergence of countless P2P transactions and brand curation platform businesses has highlighted the importance of luxury appraisal.

Among the successful candidates, one was employed through industry recommendation, and five had opportunities to work with LuxAgain Co., Ltd., which co-operates this course with Kyung Hee University Global Future Education Center.

Among the first term graduates was a lawyer with clients in the luxury industry, drawing attention. He stated, "I successfully obtained the certification upon completion, and the education enhanced my expertise in handling clients related to the luxury industry. I expect it to be a great help in my future work."
