Seoul City Cheon Se-eun Promoted to Grade 4 Newspaper Team Leader... Nam Baek-hyun of Yeongdeungpo-gu, Hwang Hyun-jun of Gangbuk-gu, and Kim Dong-jin of Dobong-gu Celebrate Promotion to Grade 5 Media Team Leaders
“Being in charge of the press is never easy, but seeing consecutive promotions feels like being rewarded.” “It feels like receiving a year-end gift ahead of Christmas.”
These were the words of a communications team leader from a district office in Seoul.
As the year-end promotion season arrives, not only the Seoul City newspaper team leader but also district communications team leaders have consecutively secured promotion tickets to grades 4 and 5.
On the 14th, Seoul City announced the list of those promoted to grades 4 and 5. Among them, Cheon Se-eun, the newspaper team leader (49), earned the honor of a grade 4 promotion. Team Leader Cheon began public service in 1999 as a grade 9 official in Gwanak-gu, then moved to the Secretary’s Office of Mayor Ko Gun of Seoul City two years later, and after 25 years, was promoted to grade 4. Following last year’s year-end promotion of Team Leader Yoon Jeong-hoe (currently Director of Inter-Korean Cooperation), the consecutive promotions of newspaper team leaders have boosted the morale of the press officers.
District communications team leaders in Seoul are also sharing the joy of promotion. Nam Baek-hyun, communications team leader of Yeongdeungpo-gu, was promoted after 7 years since his grade 6 promotion. This was because Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor Choi Ho-kwon recognized Nam’s diligence and capability.
Next, Hwang Hyun-jun, communications team leader of Gangbuk-gu, took over the promotion baton. Having been recognized for his diligence?starting as a press officer, promoted to grade 6, passing through the personnel team, and serving as the head of the civil complaints team?Team Leader Hwang was acknowledged for effectively handling difficult issues faced by Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk-gu, including labor union problems at affiliated organizations during the 8th elected term.
Additionally, Kim Dong-jin, communications team leader of Dobong-gu, was recognized for his diligence by Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eun-seok, having managed challenging press relations for three years.
For these promoted individuals and their families, this year-end is expected to be a warmer season.
The promotions of district communications team leaders do not seem to end here. Good news is also anticipated next week for communications team leaders in two other district offices.
A Seoul City official stated, “Press work is by no means an easy field for public officials, so we congratulate those who have diligently carried out their duties and achieved such good results.”
