On the 14th, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology carried out a 'Sharing Love Kimchi Making Volunteer Activity' as part of its community contribution activities for the year-end and New Year season.
The DIT Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology conducted kimchi-making volunteer activities.
On that day, the event took place in the university cafeteria, where about 200 salted napa cabbages were mixed with seasoning in the chidaegi process, and the finished kimchi was packed into boxes. The prepared kimchi will be delivered to local seniors along with boiled pork slices.
Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, "We prepared the kimchi with sincerity, hoping that the local seniors will spend the winter healthily through this kimchi sharing." He added, "We will continue to take the lead in community development and spreading the culture of sharing."
Since its launch in 2008, the DIT Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been conducting various social contribution activities such as supporting meal services, sharing samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), and briquette distribution for low-income groups and seniors in welfare blind spots, based on funds deducted from faculty and staff salaries and donations.
