[AI Revolution](85) Adding Innovation to Education with AI Technology... Ellis Group

Korea's Largest AI Practical Training Platform, Alice LXP
Creating an AI-Centered Public Education Environment through AI Digital Textbook Development

"We are developing an AI-based personalized English education platform through industry-academia research collaboration with the KAIST research team on English education. We plan to build a comprehensive AI education platform by integrating learning data from various subjects," said Kim Jaewon, CEO of ELICE Group. At the core of this plan is the large-scale practical education platform ‘ELICE LXP (Learning Experience Platform)’ that applies AI technology to education. This platform is equipped with various AI technologies researched based on 800 million data points accumulated by ELICE Group in the field of coding education. The application of AI technology, which started in coding education, will be expanded to multiple subjects.

CEO Kim stated, "We are expanding ELICE LXP, optimized for digital education, into a universal educational solution capable of supporting learning across various subjects." ELICE LXP features AI that identifies students' skill levels and predicts those at high risk of dropping out, enabling educators to provide proactive assistance. Through an AI dashboard that visualizes learning data, teachers can manage learning more systematically. As a result, learners in the coding education field, which has a lower completion rate compared to other subjects, achieved a high completion rate of 80%.

The educational achievements of ELICE LXP, based on AI technology, are also evident in numbers. To date, more than 1,600 companies and institutions have adopted it, and the cumulative number of learners has surpassed one million. The re-adoption rate reaches 90%, and satisfaction surveys recorded a score of 4.7 out of 5. Generative AI is also being utilized in educational settings. This year, ELICE developed and applied ‘AI Helpy,’ a learning assistant AI chatbot based on a large language model (LLM), to ELICE LXP. AI Helpy provides answers to various difficulties that may arise during coding learning. It offers an error helper function that quickly interprets programming language error messages, as well as features for resolving code errors and simplifying code, providing optimized solutions to questions rapidly. It boasts a response speed 60 times faster and solves 14 times more problems compared to the traditional human-operated help center system.

ELICE Group’s goal to create a universal educational solution is also connected to establishing AI-centered public education environments. ELICE Group is the lead organization participating in the ‘AI Digital Textbook Service Model and Prototype Development Research’ project for secondary English and information subjects, led by the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS). Through this, they are developing AI digital textbooks that enhance students’ learning effects through AI personalized learning and efficiently support teachers’ class management. The results are becoming concrete. ELICE Group’s cloud-based information education and coding practice support service, ‘ELICE School LXP,’ is specialized for public education. It is equipped with 600 types of customized learning support materials, learning behavior data analysis functions, and a learning management system (LMS). Additionally, ELICE Group is continuing research to add a function that recommends optimal learning content based on each student’s individual needs using AI.

As an AI education company, ELICE Group plans to focus on developing AI digital textbooks to ensure AI technology is firmly established in public education by 2025. They aim to advance technology to enable personalized, customized learning based on AI and especially to create a safe AI educational environment free from concerns about AI. CEO Kim said, "We plan to lead the upcoming AI education era through continuous technological advancement and by taking the lead in nurturing digital talent."
