Dongjak Companion Dog Park Parking Lot Opens

Dongjak-gu Secures Tour Bus Parking Lot in Front of Noryangjin Modern Sewer Box

Dongjak Companion Dog Park Parking Lot Opens

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 15th that it has created a 'dedicated parking area' nearby to provide parking convenience for residents using Dongjak Companion Dog Park (24-10 Noryangjin-dong).

The district utilized the tour bus parking lot in front of the Noryangjin Modern Sewer Box to allow users of the nearby Dongjak Companion Dog Park to park for free.

Two existing tour bus parking spaces were adjusted to four general vehicle parking spaces, and considering user safety, the spaces were made larger than standard parking dimensions.

The parking hours are the same as the operating hours of Dongjak Companion Dog Park, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the parking lot is closed every Monday as well as on Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.

Users of Dongjak Companion Dog Park can receive a parking permit and display it on the front of their vehicle when parking, and illegal parking by non-users will be monitored and enforced.

Additionally, bus parking for visitors touring the Noryangjin Modern Sewer Box will continue to be maintained.

The district plans to create an additional parking lot near Noryangjin Station in the first half of next year.

Dongjak Companion Dog Park, which opened temporarily last September, is equipped with facilities such as companion dog play and training equipment (agility), benches, and a management building, and has safety fences installed to separately operate spaces for medium/small dogs and large dogs.

Events such as the Dongjak-gu Companion Animal Culture Festival and walking education programs have also been held, attracting a total of 6,012 visitors since its opening and receiving great response.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “Dongjak Companion Dog Park is the largest in Seoul with excellent accessibility and can be used safely. We will promote various projects to make it a landmark and a comfortable resting place for companion dogs and their owners.”
