According to the New Jersey Transit Authority on the 14th (local time), at around 10:30 a.m., when the morning rush hour was in full swing, a bull entered the train tracks at Newark Penn Station in New Jersey, disrupting train operations.

The bull blocked trains from entering the platform, causing train service between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station in Manhattan, New York, to be suspended for a while. Newark police, who responded to the report, captured the bull and transferred it to an animal shelter in New Jersey.

Witness Javier Perez (54) said, "When I arrived at Penn Station around 10:30 a.m., I heard that there was a delay due to some kind of obstacle," adding, "I looked at the tracks and saw the bull slowly moving along the train route. Seeing that, I thought, 'Yeah, the bull is causing a disruption.'"

Another witness, Ben Den Berg (31), said, "Despite having seen many strange things, this is definitely the first time I've seen a bull in New Jersey," recounting the situation at the time.

The New Jersey Transit Authority announced via its official social media account on X (formerly Twitter), "Due to police activity near Newark Penn Station, train service between Newark Penn Station and New York City Penn Station was delayed by 45 minutes." However, they did not disclose where the bull came from.

This subway section is operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and includes the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Metro-North Railroad, ranking as the third busiest route in the United States.
