Goseong-gun Volunteer Organization Council Holds United Spirit Event to Encourage Volunteers

The Goseong-gun Volunteer Organizations Council in Gyeongnam held the '2023 Goseong-gun Volunteer One Heart Festival' on the 14th at the Goseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center auditorium.

The event was held under the theme "Volunteering, Warmer Goseong Together," with about 300 volunteers attending. It was organized to encourage the efforts of volunteers who worked throughout the year to contribute to community development and share love with underprivileged neighbors, as well as to promote volunteer activities.

The event began with a video screening showcasing the volunteers' activities over the past year, followed by an award ceremony where the Professional Organizing Volunteer Group received the Governor's Commendation, and 23 outstanding volunteers were recognized. The program also included congratulatory performances and performance art.

County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the volunteers who continuously provide warm service," adding, "Volunteers who strive to create a better world through beautiful acts of service are the most admirable and respectable."

Chairman Kim Seong-jin stated, "Thanks to the volunteers who have practiced love for neighbors, we were able to spend a warm 2023," and added, "Through today's One Heart Festival, let us reflect on the meaning and value of volunteering and continue to work together to build a beautiful society through volunteerism."
