Lotte Chemical Hosts 'Family Day' Inviting Employees and Their Families

On the 13th, Lotte Chemical held a 'Family Day' event at its advanced materials plant located in Uiwang, inviting employees' families.

The Family Day event was organized to enhance employees' families' understanding of the workplace and provide a platform for shared communication, while also fostering a sense of belonging and pride among employees toward the company.

The 'Family Day' at Lotte Chemical's Uiwang plant has been held three times annually since 2013 during Family Month (May), Movie Day (July), and Christmas (December). This year's Christmas event resumed after four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with about 140 employees and their families attending and enjoying the occasion.

Inside the plant, decorated under the theme of 'Magic Company Lotte Chemical,' families enjoyed various activities such as watching magic shows, learning magic tricks firsthand, and decorating Christmas trees together. Taejun Eom, the child of Senior Manager Changyong Eom who participated in the event, said, "It was a happy time learning magic directly with my mom and dad and decorating the Christmas tree," adding, "Thank you for inviting us to spend a joyful day at my dad's company."

Lotte Chemical plans to continue actively fostering a corporate culture where work and family life coexist through various family-friendly programs.

Meanwhile, Lotte Chemical operates diverse welfare programs to establish family-friendly management and a healthy corporate culture, including an in-house psychological counseling center to minimize employee stress, an automatic parental leave system, employee children’s camps, and gifticon presents on special occasions.
