Generational Comedy Human Web Drama 'Ilheundaeseot Seumulhana' Released on Seocho-gu YouTube Channel

The heartwarming story of 65-year-old grandmother Seo Chunsim and a 21-year-old young man unfolds against the backdrop of Seocho-gu.

Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seongsu) will premiere the generational empathy web drama "Sixty-Five Twenty-One (Subtitle: Connecting Today and Tomorrow)" on the district's official YouTube channel on the 18th.

The district produced this drama to depict the diverse aspects of "Seocho connecting today and tomorrow" and to foster empathy between youth and seniors.

"Sixty-Five Twenty-One" is a human comedy drama about Seo Chunsim (played by Lee Jusil), a "God landlord" silver YouTuber who runs a villa, and Yoo Minseok (played by Shin Junseop), a young man dreaming of becoming a violinist who lives there paying monthly rent. Through their story, it explores Seo Chunsim’s old memories and family love.

The web drama incorporates major landmarks and policies for seniors and youth throughout the district. Notable locations introduced include ▲ Bangbae Forest Environmental Library ▲ Seoripul Instrument Street in front of the Seoul Arts Center ▲ Montmartre Park. Additionally, key district projects are indirectly introduced, such as ▲ "Seocho Coin," which applies blockchain technology to daily life ▲ CCTV control center "Seocho Smart Hub Center" ▲ various "Active Smart Senior Projects" like senior creator training ▲ and the "Real Estate Agency QR Code" to block illegal brokerage.

The series consists of a total of six episodes, each a short video under 10 minutes, tailored for consumption by the MZ generation. It will air every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from the 18th to the 29th.

Prior to this, the district released a teaser video for the web drama on the 1st and is holding a giveaway event for expectations comments until the 15th, offering prizes to 115 people. To participate, viewers must subscribe to the district’s official YouTube channel, like the video, and leave a comment with their expectations. Winners will be notified individually in December.

The cast features seasoned actress Lee Jusil, former idol group "Myteen" member and actor Shin Junseop, and actor Park Dnisaem in leading roles. Additionally, comedian Jung Irang makes a special appearance as a real estate agent.

Since 2021, the district has communicated with residents through heartwarming web dramas every year at the end of the year. Following the first web drama "Don’t Think You’re Alone" in 2021, which focused on support for single-person households, last year’s production "To You, Me" portrayed the district’s future vision in a youthful romance story and received great acclaim.

Jeon Seongsu, Mayor of Seocho-gu, said, “We have created a warm story that everyone can empathize with and laugh about, embodying the harmony of all generations building Seocho’s today and tomorrow.” He added, “We plan to continue producing content that highlights Seocho’s charm and approaches residents in a friendly way.”
