Hi Investment & Securities Opens Real-Time Capital Gains Amount Inquiry Service for US Stocks

Hi Investment & Securities announced on the 14th that it has launched the 'Real-time Capital Gains Amount Inquiry Service' to enhance convenience for investors in U.S. stocks.

This service allows investors to check capital gains from U.S. stocks generated through Hi Investment & Securities in real time. Investors can immediately view their annual U.S. stock capital gains, reflected up to the previous day's settlement (trades from four trading days prior), via Hi Investment & Securities' Mobile Trading System (MTS) and Home Trading System (HTS). Through the provisional calculation inquiry, users can also confirm data including trades settled on the current day as well as the previous and the day before the previous day.

The real-time capital gains amount inquiry can be effectively used for investors' tax-saving strategies. Investors whose combined annual overseas stock capital gains across all financial institutions exceed 2.5 million KRW must pay a 22% capital gains tax by the end of May each year. In cases of losses, offsetting gains and losses is possible, so by immediately checking the scale of capital gains, investors can reduce taxable income by selling loss-making stocks.

A representative from Hi Investment & Securities stated, "We have launched the real-time capital gains amount inquiry service to provide more diverse services to U.S. stock investors," adding, "Especially in December, it is useful to check the scale of capital gains immediately and consider trading loss-making stocks to reduce the taxable base if necessary."

Hi Investment & Securities is focusing on strengthening its U.S. stock investment services this year. By opening weekly trading services, it has significantly expanded the trading hours for U.S. stocks, and through a partnership with Barbarian Research, investors can easily receive research information on U.S. stocks. It also provides investment information such as pre-market briefs and post-market summaries, and plans to continue expanding various services.
