Google Gemini integrated into enterprise AI services..."Accelerating pace in chasing MS"

Applied Pro to Enterprise Platform 'Vertex AI'

Google announced on the 6th (local time) that it will integrate 'Gemini,' its next-generation large language model (LLM) AI, into Google Cloud's enterprise solutions. As AI competition intensifies in enterprise services, the plan is to attract corporate customers with the latest AI model and catch up with market leaders Amazon and Microsoft (MS) in the cloud sector.

Google Gemini integrated into enterprise AI services..."Accelerating pace in chasing MS"

Starting from the 13th, Google stated that Gemini Pro will be applied to 'Vertex AI,' the enterprise AI platform provided by Google Cloud.

Gemini Pro is one of three models: Ultra, Pro, and Nano. Enterprises can experience Gemini Pro in preview form on Vertex AI, Google Cloud's platform that allows them to develop AI independently. It supports multimodal requests?including text, images, audio, and video?and can generate diverse outputs. Google explained, "Gemini was trained from the beginning on various types of data," and "companies can create AI functionalities tailored to their specific purposes."

Google demonstrated an AI service using Vertex AI that can be applied to real estate rental websites and applications. When a user uploaded a video of a property taken with a phone camera and requested three photos, a description, and an introductory phrase, the system provided detailed responses.

Vertex AI with Gemini Pro is available in 38 languages, including Korean.

Google also integrated Gemini Pro into 'AI Studio,' an AI development tool for developers.

Additionally, the image generation tool 'Imagen 2' will be applied to Google Workspace, a business tool. This allows users to generate and insert necessary images in real-time while creating presentation materials in Google Docs.

Furthermore, Google introduced the AI hypercomputer, an AI supercomputing architecture powered by Gemini. The AI hypercomputer uses Google's latest in-house developed chip (TPUv5p), which was trained with Gemini and processes data 2.8 times faster than previous chips.

Moreover, Google unveiled the MedLM product line, an AI model for medical use. A Gemini AI model specialized for healthcare will also be released in the future.

Google's aggressive rollout of enterprise AI services is seen as an effort to catch up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, the top two players in the global cloud market. Bloomberg evaluated, "Google is leveraging the AI boom to catch up with competitors, including the OpenAI-MS alliance."
