Defects Found in 1,679 Units Including Torres and 9 Other Models
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 14th that 59,782 units of 10 vehicle models manufactured or imported and sold by KG Mobility, Kia, Honda Korea, BMW Korea, and Toyota Motor Korea have been found to have manufacturing defects and will be voluntarily recalled.
In particular, 58,103 units of the KG Mobility Torres, accounting for 97% of the total recall, will undergo recall procedures starting from the 28th. A safety standard non-compliance was identified due to a software design error in the front camera module, causing the lane-keeping function (driver assistance advanced steering system) warning sound to not operate properly when deactivated.
