The Daegu-Gyeongbuk ICT Industry Association announced on the 12th that Daedong Mobility Co., Ltd. (CEO Won Yoo-hyun) and TTNG Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Bae-hee) signed a "Business Agreement for Follow-type Robot Technology Cooperation and Production" at Daedong Mobility S-Factory in Guji Industrial Complex, Dalseong-gun, Daegu.
Through the business agreement signed on the 8th, the two companies decided to jointly promote projects for domestic and overseas expansion, including establishing a mass production system, mutual cooperation for market development, and technology cooperation for the development of various service robots and content development.
The representative product is the follow-type caddy robot (Hello Caddy). In particular, to build a smart golf course operation system, both companies plan to strengthen technological cooperation for various new technology systems and expand marketability at home and abroad with commercialization strategies such as producing the "follow-type single-seat electric cart," aiming to improve work efficiency for golf course workers and reduce operating costs.
Lee Bae-hee, CEO of TTNG, emphasized, "To enter the global market, we have completed research and development of multi-purpose follow-type robots including robot golf carts and are preparing for export. Through this cooperation, we will establish a supply chain for the stable supply of service robots and enable people to experience a mobility ecosystem where robots coexist in daily life."
This business agreement is meaningful as a win-win cooperation model between a large company equipped with a mass production system and a small and medium-sized enterprise with new technology. This cooperative system is expected to rapidly transform the robot industry into popularization and everyday life through the development and production of robots as well as the establishment of a one-stop supply system.
