Sacheon-si Selected as an Excellent Institution for Digital Healthcare Project This Year

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam was selected as an excellent institution in two categories of the 2023 Digital Healthcare Project: the AI·IoT-based Senior Health Management Project and the Mobile Healthcare Project.

On the 11th, at the 2023 Digital Healthcare Performance Conference held at the Inter-Burgo Daegu Convention Hall, the city received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in the ‘AI·IoT-based Senior Health Management Project’ category and the President of the Korea Health Promotion Institute Award in the ‘Mobile Healthcare Project’ category.

In this evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Promotion Institute targeting public health centers participating in the nationwide digital healthcare project, the city was selected as an excellent institution in the ‘Mobile Healthcare Project’ category for providing innovative and diverse specialized strategies, including customized health management services to promote healthy living for vulnerable health groups.

Additionally, the ‘AI·IoT-based Senior Health Management Project’ received high marks for actively operating disaster prevention programs such as sending guidance text messages and visits to senior centers and elderly living alone during heatwave and cold wave warnings.

Jung Hee-sook, the head of the public health center, said, “We operated a sustainable program that allows easy access to health services anytime and anywhere,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create a healthy Sacheon City for all local residents through diversified health promotion projects.”
