Used Goods Trading Locations: Subway, Apartment, Convenience Store in Order
Ranking Changes According to Lifestyle
The local community platform 'Danggeun' analyzed users' preferred 'transaction locations' data over the past year and found that Danggeun users, regardless of region or age group, prefer public places within their living area.
According to Danggeun on the 11th, the most preferred transaction location among Danggeun users was subway stations (34%). This is analyzed to be because of the high foot traffic, safety, and convenience of transportation. Following were ▲apartments (24%), ▲convenience stores (10%), ▲schools, ▲marts, and ▲parks.
As face-to-face transactions through public buildings and facilities have been encouraged via guidelines, places well-known to neighborhood residents such as Exit 10 of Gangnam Station, in front of the ○○dong Community Center, and the main gate of ○○ Apartment were chosen by users.
Additionally, landmarks unique to local residents such as ▲government offices, ▲libraries, ▲banks, ▲bus stops, ▲post offices, and ▲pharmacies were also included.
Transaction Location Rankings Vary According to Lifestyle by Age Group
The rankings of popular transaction locations also differed according to the lifestyle of each age group.
First, teenagers mainly sought places closely related to their studies such as schools and libraries, and bus stops, which are easily accessible on their way to and from school, also appeared in the rankings, drawing attention.
In their 20s, mainly composed of university students and young professionals who move frequently, subway stations ranked high. Notably, the preference for 'university' was the highest among all age groups, indicating that transactions among students within the same local schools are very active.
Those aged 30 and above sought not only places preferred by all age groups such as apartments and subway stations but also age-specific locations. People in their 30s showed a preference for government offices and post offices, while those in their 40s and 50s showed significantly higher preferences for churches, hospitals, banks, and pharmacies compared to other age groups.
Meanwhile, Danggeun introduced the 'preferred transaction location' feature, which allows users to mark their desired transaction location on a map during the used goods posting process, facilitating active secondhand transactions among residents of the same district.
Recently, a detailed feature was added that informs users of the distance from their location to the transaction place from the very first step of viewing a used goods post. If the preferred transaction location is within 1 km from the user's location, a message such as 'You can trade nearby within 200m' is displayed, helping buyers estimate the time it will take to reach the transaction place and make purchasing decisions accordingly.
