The new products come in two flavors: Apple and Shine Muscat. Prior to the launch, Dongwon F&B conducted a preference survey with over 12,000 consumers at the ‘Boseong Hongcha Iced Tea Zero’ pop-up store held in September, and decided to commercialize the two flavors that received positive responses in the survey.

Boseong Hongcha Iced Tea Zero Apple and Shine Muscat flavors each offer the refreshing taste of apple and the sweetness of Shine Muscat, along with the subtle aroma of black tea. They are great for mixing with carbonated water to make a refreshing ade or blending with alcoholic beverages such as soju and whiskey to create cocktails.

Dongwon F&B plans to continue the growth of its zero-calorie beverage category by expanding the Boseong Hongcha Iced Tea Zero lineup to a total of four flavors, adding to the existing Peach and Lemon flavors. Since its launch in 2021, Boseong Hongcha Iced Tea Zero has sold over 15 million bottles within a year, and its growth is expected to continue this year, with cumulative sales projected to surpass 65 million bottles by the end of the year.

‘Boseong Hongcha Iced Tea Zero’ comes in a 500mL size with 0 kcal, allowing consumers to enjoy the beverage without calorie concerns. The tea leaves are sourced from Boseong, Jeollanam-do, which meet organic standards worldwide. The leaves are fermented using a proprietary jar method and brewed with a low-temperature extraction process, allowing consumers to enjoy the unique flavor of black tea along with the fresh taste of fruit.

Additionally, it is produced using Dongwon Group’s aseptic filling technology, ensuring hygiene and safety. The aseptic filling process involves sterilizing the beverage at ultra-high temperatures and filling it into PET bottles through sterile equipment that prevents external contamination. This method maintains the hygiene of the beverage while preserving the original taste and nutrients of the ingredients by avoiding prolonged heat treatment.
